HITT Hires CWS For Decorative/Privacy Window Installation Project For Government Tenant

ARLINGTON, Va. – HITT Contracting has hired Commercial Window Shield for a decorative privacy window film installation project for a federal government agency in suburban Washington, D.C.

The project, for the Department of Commerce’s Office of the Inspector General, involves the installation of a special dual gradient decorative window film on all glass office fronts and conference rooms of one floor of a building at 2800 S. Randolph St. in Arlington.

Once installed, the band of film runs across the center of the glass. It’s more opaque in the center and fades to clear above and below the film band.

The privacy window film installation is Phase 2 of a project that began with HITT completing a buildout of the floor occupied by the Inspector General Office.

Commercial Window Shield will begin its privacy window film installation project in mid-to-late September.

The company has had a close working relationship with HITT since 2008, having completed numerous window film installation projects. In addition to HITT, Commercial Window Shield works with other top general contractors, including DAVIS, Rand Construction, DPR Construction, D/Watts, Harvey-Cleary and Gilbane Building Co.

In addition to the installation of decorative privacy window film, Commercial Window Shield is a leader in the installation of safety and security, radio frequency [RF], switchable smart and bird safety window films.

Since 1985, Commercial Window Shield clients have included the U.S. Capitol, FBI headquarters, the Pentagon, all House of Representative and Library of Congress buildings, Grand Central Terminal, Merrill Lynch headquarters, the United Nations, the Willis [former Sears] Tower, O’Hare and Seattle international airports, and the Philadelphia and Denver mints.
